The day the Buildings Tumbled.

On Tuesday 22 of February a terrible earthquake happened in Christchurch at 12:51pm. Buildings were destroyed, cars were squashed, I was terrified watching it on TV. Buildings collapsed, the city was a disaster.
I want to make a donation to help Christchurch so they can get buildings fixed.
There was a lady on a building, she was stuck...she was terrified. Three men got a ladder and a bin, that's when the fire-people came and she got down safe. She was dazed. I was happy she was down.
People were running because buildings might fall down.
There was a church that fell down, it was sad because that church had been there for years. People lost their family, they were unhappy.
I felt like I was doing nothing, that's why I want to make a donation.
I wish there never was an earthquake.

Hi Tim

I have been reading your post tonight and found it very moving. There are so many sad stories, but also many stories about people who were rescued and people who are helping each other out.
I am pleased to hear that you are working out a way in which you can help too.
Good on you.

Mrs Burt
